I'd rather not as I enjoyed going in somewhat blind. I personally enjoyed it more than Longlegs as it fit what I enjoy a little bit more.

Yeah it doesn't really stick to one particular subgenre lol

I think you’ll be fine it’s a pretty standard horror movie. You’ll have fun!

ok my experience with Urban Legend was uhh... odd. as in with no warning I started getting strong anxiety into a panic attack halfway through (not related to the movie itself lol). took a breather and decided to finish it because I'm just fucking stubborn and I thought some schlock might help I guess (it did not!)

not gonna claim I can judge it objectively, but I feel like I didn't love it? god knows I adore my dumb late 90s slashers that know the genre they're in but this one missed me a bit. felt like the pacing was all the way off in a way I can't quite articulate, honestly thought it was close to three hours long until I looked after, and way too much of that was Jared Leto. I will say I genuinely did not see the killer reveal coming, which is rare and a big plus. Witt was good and it was fun picking out the horror icons - Brad Dourif, Robert Englund and... the British guy from X-Files! I dunno. one to watch again when my brain is running on normal, because I feel like by all rights I should love this thing

It's not a good movie by any means.

Just because I said it's not good doesn't preclude it from being amusing. I've watched it multiple times now lol.

    Never seen final cut tho.

  16. Trap was so campy and fun, thought the second half was genuinely tense and also loved Hartnett hamming it up whether the scene called for it or not. I liked Knock at the Cabin, but this is Shyamalan's most fun since The Visit!

  17. There is like... a dad with preteens seated next to me for Cuckoo lmao.

Also, that Nosferatu trailer just hits different in theaters.

Nothing in Cuckoo is that bad, I’m all for that

  19. As far as bat shit crazy Neon movies that vaguely recall another decade and are missing some connective tissue go...I'n taking Cuckoo over Longlegs, baby. Creepier and more three-dimensional and fun imho. Dan Stevens' current character actor arc is incredible

Between Trap, Cuckoo, and Romulus, it's panning out to be a great week in horror for me

    Last Watch was sufficiently creepy

yeah lol I can see it being fun and entertaining but it's definitely not good. they don't even carry the "every kill is an urban legend" gimmick across the whole movie and that's pretty much it's only claim to a distinguishing feature
