The head one is classic, but yeah, I thought they were all pretty boring. When you're comparing it to some great ones like the face through the bathroom wall, or the sleeping bag, 90% of the kills in this movie are just him very slowly stabbing someone.

Alright, I finished up my slasher marathon list. The only rules I broke were doubling up on Slumber Party Massacre (because I've never seen the original and I've heard a lot of bonkers things about the sequel, so I'm gonna do them both in one day), and I included Scream 4 because I've heard good things and I've never seen it.

I'm actually trying to put together different ones for July and August as well, but trying to figure out good categories with a large number of films I haven't seen.

Victor Crowley is still the only Hatchet movie I've seen. Terrible movie haha

What is the best Godzilla other than the original? I think I'm gonna do monster movies as one of the themes.

One more question: outside of the big ones (Creature, Wolf Man, etc.), what else is worth checking out of the classic Universal monster movies? Obviously I've already seen Dracula (going with the infamous Coppola version instead) and Frankenstein (going with the Hammer one), but my knowledge there is pretty limited tbh.

Assuming you’re including Bride of Frankenstein in the big ones, I would say Frankenstein meets The Wolf Man, The Creature Walks Among Us, and Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein

I may have a bias towards Frankenstein films.

Alright here's my monster movie list. Any suggestions on what to do for August? I was thinking maybe haunted house movies, or sci-fi/horror, but I feel like both of those are kinda broad.

    2021 Horror Summer: Monsters (July)

All of these are first-time watches except for It Follows. Yes, that means I've never seen Jaws.....

Great list already. Can’t wait to see what you think of Jaws.

I think Cloverfield, Cujo, Nosferatu and Slither could all fit in there as well.

I hate the Mist movie so props for leaving that off lol.

It’s not a horror movie, more a thriller, but Oxygen on Netflix is fantastic and really shows why Melanie Laurent should be way more famous.

    Finished my final list

    2021 Horror Summer: Classics (August)

Side question: What are the thoughts on Hell House LLC in here? I wanted to include the first one almost in this final list but then I thought about a couple things and I was like "I can't watch that and not sleep for another week again" lol

  24. I'm still making my way through, but The Invisible Man and Dracula's Daughter are two of my favorites
First one was fun and effective, the second was bad enough that I didn't watch the third
