I saw the name on a site and thought it was fake. Now I’m intrigued.

  3. Finally watched Brain Dead (1990, not Dead Alive) last night, that cover art has been seared into my brain since I was a kid. I was a little drunk and expecting trashy horror, but it's actually a pretty interesting (if slight) paranoid thriller! Not exactly original, but it's got a specific 90s vibe, a very short runtime, and two Bills (Paxton and Pullman!). Worth the watch - it's not great, but it's also shockingly competent and not what you'd expect. On Prime.

  6. Gothic horror hits so good when it's done right. I should rewatch Crimson Peak. I know it's not particularly scary, but I think that one got an undeserved bad rep from horror audiences.

Loved the Halloween novelizations from a few years ago (and I am actually reading Tarantino's Once Upon A Time In Hollywood right now!)

Cuckoo is getting favorable reviews so far it seems. Considering checking it out this weekend if I can.

  25. Wow, Death Game was awesome. I had NO idea Eli Roth's Knock Knock was a remake lol, that movie was truly awful. But Death Game kicked ass. Colorful, chaotic, absolutely insane ending. Cautionary tales about monogamy are my bread and butter.
