Sam Neill is truly goated for his work in older horror movies

Sam Neill is iconic in Mouth of Madness

  7. And Possession. And Event Horizon.

  8. The Witch may very well be a perfect movie.

  9. Is it annoying if I post episodes of the podcast I host in here? Like only the good ones? We only release once a month, but I totally understand if that sucks lol

It’s not like you’d be spamming the thread, so why can’t someone just scroll past a post once in awhile if they’re not interested? Can’t speak for anyone else, but I see no problem there.

This is what I was watching to prompt the post. It’s an underrated film too. I’m so glad we got a Lovecraftian Carpenter movie.

it's one of my favourite Carpenters although I haven't seen it in years. impossible to find on streaming or blu-ray here :/

threw on I Know What You Did Last Summer tonight expecting it to not have aged that well, but this movie kinda rules lmao. one of the better-directed movies of its type in the 90s, and the cast rules, especially Hewitt and Sarah Michelle Gellar my beloved. totally forgot it was a Williamson script too

In the Mouth of Madness is pretty good. I loved it the first time but the second time I watched it there were a lot more “wtf” moments than I remembered and not entirely in a good way haha. Still a lot of fun though.

Prince of Darkness is my favorite “minor” Carpenter movie

Watched part of the gracefield incident last night and quit. sucked big.

Then watched Dellamorte Dellamore which I highly enjoyed.

  19. has anyone seen Trap yet? I was hoping it'd tide me over during the lull in between Longlegs and Cuckoo but if it's as bad as one tiktok reviewer put it, I might use this week to catch up on non-horror stuff.

Trap was a 3/5 for me. Fun but had me questioning a lot of things which is typical for his movies really lol

Not horror but I don’t know where else to post that The People’s Joker is pretty great.

Longlegs captured a skin crawling atmosphere with absurdity in a way that just worked for me. It wasn’t perfect, but it’s consumed my thoughts since seeing it. Loved the performances from Cage and Witt.
