Girlfriend is out of town this weekend, so I am going ham on some Cronenberg films: Spider, Crash, Videodrome, Shivers, The Brood, and Dead Ringers.

Wish my wife would be out of town for the weekend so I could also binge some horror flicks.

  8. Nice! Haven't seen Spider, but those middle four are unbeatable.

I've decided to go in chronological order:
    Shivers (watching it now)
    The Brood
Videodrome (haven't seen it in probably 15 years)
    Dead Ringers
    Crash
    Spider

  10. Hell yeah. Shivers and Crash are absolutely wild. Dead Ringers was solid, too, just not on the levels of the others imo, but still very much worth the watch. I'm about due for a Shivers rewatch myself.

I just finished it. To simplify it: Shivers felt like a zombie movie with the icky Cronenberg edge. I felt nostalgic for the fake, bright blood since I love 70s horror. The epilogue was also pretty awesome.

  14. The video of Darren and the crew cheering once they get the shot in the replies is actually very wholesome lol. As far as bad movies go, I go to bat for Saw IV

I'm not even a Saw fan and that shot is cool as hell.

Reminds me of the bathroom mirror shot in Contact.

Watching Bad Ben and while I admire the directors gusto lol, the character makes the dumbest decisions. Which like yeah welcome to many horror movies, but omg. But I can't stop watching
