Going to check out Immaculate tonight having only read a brief description. Pretty stoked based on the reactions I’ve seen in this thread. Almost equally as stoked for the trailers for movies I’ve heard about but haven’t seen the trailer for haha

First Omen for me tonight. Abigail next Thursday!

 

Probably gonna see Monkey Man next, then Abigail, then First Omen, then Late Night with the Devil if it's still showing. Been a bit out of it tho after a family member got some bad news at the hospital recently. I'll keep the details private, they'll most likely be fine after treatment but let's just say it'll be a tough couple months

 

Yeah, I have a hard time with horror when dealing with real-life emotional distress. My cat needed emergency surgery this weekend (he's all good now) and we had to stay up and distract ourselves at home while we waited for the call, and I needed something like Once Upon a Time in Hollywood that is mostly cozy with minimal conflict (the ending doesn't count because it's funny). Wishing the best for your family

 

Lots of rumors about production being rushed, so that is honestly probably a good thing.

I also like how they don’t even try with the tag line anymore. “the game continues” lol ok I would hope so or else what are we watching

 

Back to maxxxine for a sec. If there is one time period we know Ti West is fucking aces at directing, it’s the 80s.

 

Alright The First Omen was pretty great. Glad I saw it in theaters. Nell Tiger Free killed it

Seeing the First Omen tomorrow and Abigail next week as lil treats for making it though this semester of grad school.

 

We're talking about it in the Weekly Horror Flick thread, but upon rewatch, Jacob's Ladder remains the most unsettling on-screen depiction of Hell I've ever seen, mostly because it all feels very, very real.

Yeah, as much as I think Blair Witch is unfairly maligned, they gotta let this one go
