My new prayer is that Hollywood goes all in on throwback 70s films that feel authentically from the time and space. Vibes were fantastic.

  2. I get nostalgic with those kinds of movies and I haven't even seen much 70s-80s horror

You must fix your heart Supporter

I absolutely loved The First Omen, now I want them to follow it up and remake The Omen lol. Nell Tiger Free was amazing, loved the Possession-esque part.

Also it is wild that this and Immaculate ended up coming out so close together. As much as I loved that film though I think this hit more for me in pretty much every way. What a cool time for this very specific kind of horror film.

Hear me out, gang… What if we could actually make this happen?

What if we could get a few independent filmmakers onboard to schedule releases and we had a website that hosted each one once a week, or bi-weekly. And during that week, the entire site was dedicated to the film, we had limited edition cassette tapes of the soundtrack (I can handle that part), and the whole thing is like… a film festival/record label/Patreon/subscription kinda thing all mashed into one awesome thing for low budget indie horror movies? And then we could have “special features” that has a podcast episode with the people involved in making the movie either just doing an interview about it or a commentary track.

But for real…… Who wants to help make this happen? Let’s schedule a zoom meeting or something and brainstorm! :-)

  22. Hahahaha can’t even imagine that! There were a couple times while watching it where I was thinking to myself, “wouldn’t it be crazy if this movie actually made me throw up???” Haha I didn’t throw up, but wow the effects are disgusting and fantastic haha.

  23. Yeah, I am notoriously low-tolerance when it comes to weed, so this was a total miscalculation on my part lol. I thought I was having a heart attack at one point, but that was unrelated to the movie. I should give it another go.
