edit: watched a trailer. might really enjoy this

 

The Stopmotion parts aren't even the majority of the movie, but they are the stand out element.

 

I gotta see stopmotion. Sounds like something I would enjoy.

some additional thoughts: it's a solid psychological horror film that threatens to become a great body horror film as it goes on. the visual effects are completely unique and grotesque. Some of the biggest gross-out scenes this side of a Saw film; Not all of the threads come together, but it's ambiguous in mostly the right ways and reminds me a lot of Censor. I think it's gonna polarize people, but could easily see it becoming a cult hit.

 

Yeah Censor is a good comparison. It's not a perfect film but the things it does well it really knocks out of the park.
