One of my teachers in high school lent me the Crow on DVD, even then I remember thinking it was very much of its time, but still enjoyed it. I should revisit it.

Also, it gave us an unbelievable Cure song.

But yeah, this remake doesn’t look great.

 

The Crow (OG) is a bonafide classic. Very much of its time but in a super charming way. It's corny and genuine and all of that makes it one of the coolest movies of all-time. A remake is a bad idea because you can't recreate that feeling and tone (especially Brandon Lee's performance) and if you do something different, you will lose all the things that make it special.

The ultraviolence in the trailer is kind of fun, but the polished look and the Joker makeup and the Ozzy/Post song are all very bad.
