Yep, did Predator 2 lol. It's fun and almost good but I've always just felt like a Predator in the city movie should be such a slam dunk, and instead, it's kind of a generic cop movie with a Predator lingering around until the third act. It does introduce a ton of hallmark Predator tech, though.

Been in a big sci-fi mood (seeing Dune 2 today), so adding this to my immediate list!

Woah, this is big, people should definitely watch it. I was lucky enough to find it on YouTube last year. A very interesting Romero flick and pretty different from any vampire film I've ever seen.

 

I really want to watch World’s Fair soon, before I Saw The TV’s Glow

 

It's on Max! Be prepared going in, because my hype was high and it took a rewatch for me to really appreciate it...it is closer to a unique coming of age film than a horror film. Knowing that before watching will enhance the experience, I think, because it is slow and experimental to a point, but definitely good stuff. TV Glow looks a little more wild based on the trailer.

Still haven't seen that yet but it doesn't sound like I need to rush lol

Yeah, if you're in the mood for a 90s cop flick with a Predator in it, it will scratch the itch even if it isn't quite as sick as it could have been. It's fun.

 

I love Predator 2. Bill Paxton alone elevates it to glory. and the last bit on the spaceship fucks

Renny is releasing all 3 Strangers movies this year?

 

That’s the plan but we know how these things usually go. Lol

But all three are filmed so it really just comes down to if the distributor will allow it

 

Also I don’t know if this is accurate but I believe Chapter 1 basically has the premise of the original, though it isn’t a remake because they confirmed it’s in the same continuity, but then Chapter 2 & 3 are supposed to be more like character studies about the victims dealing with it afterward. I think they’re also supposed to go into the origins of the strangers, so that’s the only part I’m kinda bummed about.

 

I'm assuming they won't be for me since I enjoy Prey at Night 100x more, but Harlin is an interesting pick for director

 

I’m not gonna lie, Renny causes me some apprehension. I’m just really hoping for the best because the original is one of my favorites and Prey at Night is awesome in a totally different way. Also not going to pretend I don’t have a crush on Madelaine Petsch. lol


I kinda always wanted a slasher with a sequel that goes into the trauma after the fact, so I hope that’s the case. Kinda always wants to try writing something like that myself. Maybe that already exists and I’m just oblivious though.

 

I think I have both Strangers flicks on DVD, I still haven't gotten to them yet

 

It was before the actual trailers but I got a little teaser for the stupid killer Pooh sequel before Dune for some reason.

If Dune Part 2 makes my head explode, it was nice talking to y’all!

 

Hahaha I am also seeing Dune in 45 minutes, will report back if I get the same teaser (or anything good)

 

I just started The Last Voyage of the Demeter

 

Well…there is the Rob Zombie Halloween 2 though I know that’s a pretty polarizing one. It’s exactly what you’re describing though.

 

I hated the first one so much that I never even watched the second

 

Zombie’s Halloween II is a beautiful classic.

 

i am just now realizing i never bought Dune, thought for sure I had it on bluray or at the very least dvd
