Lmfaoooo my girlfriend is on the phone with her ~75 year old mom and her mom mentions she watched a horror movie last night and starts describing the plot of midsommar

My mom's nearing 70 and only watches Viet-dubbed Chinese historical drama series on YouTube

 

I love her mom but I would not refer to her as “a blast” and this conversation is absolutely blowing our minds right now (she’s still talking about the movie and how she stayed up until 2am watching it because she had no idea how long it was but couldn’t stop watching.) So funny.

What’s the consensus on Leviathan? I could go for some underwater trouble.

 

leviathan is a mix of its influences, but still a ton of fun!

Luther the Geek. What a weird, uncomfortable, and gross film.

 

Yeah, not beating the "The Thing but underwater allegations" but it is just a lot of fun and an easy watch. I enjoyed it quite a bit and definitely recommend it if you like stuff like Alien.

 

Gonna try it!

 

I just finished season one this weekend. Surprised they aren't bringing back the cast

Watching Dawn of the Dead (04). I cannot stress this enough. This was, by far, the most wild theater experience I’ve ever had. The screenings were completely overbooked. People were sitting on the stairs just to be with their friends. The audible screams, gasps, and laughs were coming from every direction, it was the closest I’ll ever get to that Stab premiere in Scream 2.

To add… either TBS or TNT aired the first 10 minutes prior to the release and I remember it being the most insane 10 minutes of (fictional) television I’ve seen on cable at that point in my life.

Turns 20 this year.. what a goddamn gem.

 

Watched Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, which I will now be writing the slasher version of, and will feature a different classic monster in each subplot.
