Gotta watch jason Takes Manhattan to stay in this thread

 

Perfect to release this trailer the day after Halloween since that’s the day every business shifts into Christmas mode (also my birthday nbd)

Over the last week or so, I’ve watched:

- rose red (rewatch)
- Dave made a maze
- Texas Chainsaw 3
- Halloween II
- Halloween III: Season of the Witch

really liked Halloween II (I know carpenter has said he hates it) and season of the witch was so fucking good, love how its so aggressively different and can’t imagine what people were thinking when they first saw it upon release lol

Texas Chainsaw 3 was ok for me, 1 and 2 are pretty unbeatable in my eyes

rose red was great for nostalgia and sets a good spooky atmosphere, but by the time I got to part 3, I finally started feeling it drag a bit

Dave made a maze was fantastic and fresh and was probably the highlight of the bunch, along with Halloween III

 

Next on my list, my wife and I are gonna watch Bram Stoker’s Dracula for the first time. I showed her the trailer and seeing 90s Winona Ryder got her on board lol

The Hell House LLC talk is making me want to rewatch the first one (never saw the sequels) and I remember it being one of the only modern horror films that made me revert to my childlike impulse to try and shield my eyes at one point

 

I mean he could very well be involved, but I’m not really feeling this being announced without Derrickson

 

Five Nights at Freddy's wasn't really what I expected. I know the backstory is pretty grim, but I thought it'd be a little more fun/campy than it was

just saw that FNAF is 110 minutes

gotta imagine a lot of it is filler

 

Anyone else watch Soultaker for their MST3k pick? Didn't expect it to be such a love story.

 

Definitely some filler lol

 

Had it as my pick originally but couldn't find it streaming on anything so I picked Incredible Melting Man

 

Still no confirmation that he’s directing it, but it makes me feel better that Derrickson at least posted about it now

When Evil Lurks is on Shudder today. Watch it. You will all like it.

 

Never mind, I’m an idiot. Ended up falling asleep so I restarted it and I actually loved it. Great camera work, love the sound design, use of shadows, and general vibe. Some flaws for sure, but the rest made up for it. Lizzy Caplan was great.

 

Ben Tramer getting exploded for no reason is one of the funniest moments in cinema.

 

Can you compare it to anything?
