Hell yeah, Dark Harvest seems to be getting decent reviews.

 

They need to collaborate on a project

 

Tried to show my daughter NOES, she got to the bathtub scene and noped out.

 

To me NOES is the scariest of the big 3 originals.

 

Oh def, the concept of something evil waiting for you in your dreams is objectively horrifying.

 

I always appreciated how creative the NOES movies are to make up for the low ass budgets

Oh man, if you wanna scold people for showing their kids horror movies, start with my parents. They took me to see Event Horizon when I was 9.

 

Seeing “Departing Seniors” tonight for the Chicago film festival and I’m really hyped about it

 

no scolding!

 

Watching Halloween Kills and cracking up about the time Fox News pushed some bullshit about this movie being some Hollywood revolt against first responders.

 

Departing Seniors was really fun, not sure when it will come out but go see it if you get a chance.

 

I saw it somewhere between the ages of 6 to… maybe 8? and had the same reaction lol. Baths were a no go for a while, I wouldn’t even take a shower longer than like a minute.

 

I saw the Shining when I was 5 which most definitely explains a lot about why I am the way I am lol

 

Saw Phantasm for the first time last night.

Thought it was a visual banger. I don’t know what I was expecting from it, but it kind of fell flat for me. I kept waiting for it to find a gear that it just never reached.

 

Freaky Friday the 13th had to have been blocked for legal reasons, it’s a perfect title

 

God, I love Phantasm so much. Would try to squeeze it in this weekend if I didn't already have plans to do both Suspirias and both Castle Freaks.

 

90% sure the first horror movie I saw was the original IT. I remember watching the part where he turns into a giant spider from a hallway corner because I wasn't supposed to be seeing it.

I might've shared this previously but my first was Halloween '78 when I was 8--I woke up in middle of the night, couldn't go back to sleep so snuck downstairs to the TV room, flipped through channels and stopped on the beginning title credits, watched the whole thing and have been a horror fan since then. This would've been 1989 so right after Halloween 5 was released in theaters. Halloween, w/all its flaws, remains my second favorite franchise.
