I can’t for the next one that suggests that Jigsaw never died

  2. Tonight's Gore-us pick was a cryptid film I grew up with and one we were fortunate enough to show on the big screen, Mark Pellington's The Mothman Prophecies. If you haven't seen it, I would absolutely implore you to find it. Super stylish and thoughtful meditation on how we try to connect potentially unrelated events to find meaning. Tone is very X-Files. I adore this film.

Watched VHS 85, it was fine! Very gun heavy for the 80’s and a movie like this

  4. Totally Killer was a decent time. I wish it didn’t spend like 75% of the movie repeating the “wow! things were in different in 1987!” joke but hey, the parts that weren’t that were pretty fun and spread evenly throughout

  5. This one has always been so underrated, belongs up there with Paranorman and Coraline but never gets the shine

Best werewolf film? I can’t decide between Dog Soldiers and American Werewolf in London

Stoked to see Skinamarink up there, but man, Infinity Pool and Beau Is Afraid have been two of the most frustrating viewing experiences I’ve had all year.

Ha, I'm the opposite. Beau and Infinity Pool are two of the years best and I struggled to make it through Skinamarink.

Watched Skinamarink last night, I wanted to like it more/as much as others. My friend absolutely loathed it and found it incredibly uncomfortable to get through; she thought it would never end, haha.

  14. Skinamarink and Beau are perfect, but Beau is a comedy imo. Infinity Pool is very good, but not as good as Possessor.

I am wondering how I’ll react to Beau as someone who has anxiety.

Loved Infinity Pool, hated Skinamarink, never saw Beau

Talk To Me is my favorite of the year and I liked seeing Influencer up there!

  19. @SpyKi is right lol

it's weirdly validating watching a movie where everything you think will go wrong, does lol

Despite its director being a piece of shit, it's probably still American Werewolf in London. Dog Soldiers is really dope though, I watched that for the first time last year and loved it. Silver Bullet and The Howling are way up there for me.

2023 definitely could've used a Malignant or Barbarian to set it off. There's been a lot of decent stuff, but not the feasts we've had the last few years.
