Good Will Hunting, With Honors, Fatal Attraction, Son In Law, Tommy Boy, Planes Trains and Automobiles.

Cheating because some of those are Thanksgiving movies, but there’s still a level of fall coziness to them/a sweater extravaganza.

 

Easily Saw X out of those

I have a lot of homework to do tonight, so I’m gonna cram some movies in.

Starting off with Silver Bullet!

 

The Royal Hotel is pretty intense/stressful/tough to get through, not exactly horror but the sense of dread is definitely there. Henwick and especially Garner are really good. Between this and Talk to Me Australia is killing it this year

 

How icky is the new Saw cause I tolerate the tortureness but not sure if I wanna tolerate it on a huge screen.

 

Tentative plan for the night!

 

My son (9) is slowly getting into horror and my ongoing challenge is to find movies that won’t traumatize him and are relatively age appropriate. Last night was World War Z haha

 

It’s pretty sad imo that it’s 2023 and the first segment in Tales From The Hood is still very relevant

 

Tales from the Hood time! It’s been a few years since I’ve seen this classic.

The Others is up there for me.

Ouija: Origin Of Evil is the only correct choice

 

he has enjoyed signs* and the ring

*not horror but kinda spooked him

 

He also liked scary stories to tell in the dark

 

That one is definitely up there for me.

 

I need that Criterion release of The Others

Yooo Monster House was an absolute blast

 

Not horror necessarily but The Mummy freaked me out a kid with those flesh eating beetle things. but your son already sounds braver than I was at 9 lol

 

Return of the Living Dead Part II is very much a PG-13 movie

 

It's definitely a Saw movie -- I winced a couple of times -- but the ickiness feels earned and not just cruel for cruelty's sake. It's a really good movie!
