I totally remember a segment on McKamey Manor in a haunted house doc I watched maybe 6-7 years ago. Knew immediately we’d get an expose on that place one day. Russ is super fucked up, people may sign lengthy contracts to go in but he is not shy about breaking them - fairly certain he openly admits to ignoring safe words too. Said he had a relationship with the cops where he’d tell them if he had a visitor that night so that no matter what they heard or what kind of phone calls they got, they wouldn’t go check in on him

Has anyone mentioned that the 13th is on a Friday this year?

 

It absolutely should but why the fuck would anyone subject themselves to that?

 

There's that one movie called Take Me where she pays someone to kidnap her, but that's played off as more of a comedy because she acts like she didn't and the guy's super confused. It might be a kinky consensual thing for some people, but not to the extreme that McKamey Manor takes it

 

I also saw the Haunters doc and wondered how long they would be operational. Is it still operational and thriving the way it has in years past?

 

don't they pull people's teeth out and break their bones and shit? just insane

 

Their website literally looks like a middle schooler made it.

I watched Chopping Mall this morning. It was fine.

There were some great one-liners. But I wanted it to be a little crazier.

 

Am I the only one that didn’t know this was a thing? Might be my first physical purchase in awhile

 

American Scream and Haunters are two of my favorite docs ever. Can't wait for that new Hulu one. Did someone say there's another doc on haunted houses?

 

Tubi has a few real low budget ones

 

Did Monkey Shines for the Romero movie I haven't seen pick. Pretty entertaining but all the kills were off screen. I wanted to see the monkey fuck people up. 3/5

Then I watched Alligator for my personal watchlist for the month. Definitely enjoyed seeing the alligator fuck people up. 3.5/5

Appendage is whatever so far but the monster is sooo good, it’s like something you would find on Tubi

 

No One Will Save You is pretty sick but it would be so much better with practical creatures or just better cgi.

 

Watching Night of the Demons tonight

 

Bent Neck Lady goes so hard. simultaneously the scariest and saddest thing

 

Rewatched Emily Rose, and while it didn't scare me nearly as much as the other two times I've seen it, there's still a lot of good stuff there. Definitely doesn't deserve the 45% that RT gives it, idk what the hell that's all about.

Even LegalEagle on youtube has some good things to say about the courtroom scenes. Said the opening prosecution might be the most realistic thing he's seen in a movie.
