  1. Yeah, I still really enjoy the Assembly Cut and think it mostly succeeds at tackling the franchise from a different genre standpoint. Almost closer to a drama/character study

  2. Yeah, so The People Under the Stairs was sick. None of the slapstick stuff really landed for me, but as a whole, it was smart, disturbing, effective, and totally batshit. Totally feels like a reference point for Jordan Peele (and it looks like he recently signed on to remake the film). Didn't realize Wes Craven had a leftist streak in him but what a wild ride

That movie is one of the best fuck yous to Ronald Reagan and his bullshit ever put to film

I haven’t seen that movie in so long but I do remember it as being one of my earliest horror movies I watched. What was the name of the guy who’s tongue was cut out?

Still haven’t gotten into that show, maybe this season will change that.

  9. Man, for whatever reason I really did not like Day of the Dead the first time I watched it, but barring some overacting, I'm really enjoying it now. Might not touch the first two in terms of legacy, but it definitely stands its own

  19. Damn, this does look cool. I couple of the films are on Youtube, but between the quality and the packaging, I think I might have to pull the trigger on this as well. Right up my alley

Enjoyed the season premiere of Creepshow. Second story was groovy. Bummer it seems like season 2 is only 5 episodes unless there's more next month.

Just finished The People Under the Stairs and it ruled. It was one of those movies I always knew the name and the VHS cover but had no clue what it was about. Still thematically prescient, loved the '90s cheesiness and humor, also had some pretty creepy parts and kept me guessing what was going to happen next.

  25. Excited to report the Last Drive in Patreon does in fact come with time stamps! Gonna watch Jaws with the old host segments tomorrow night
