I am due for a miracle / I'm waiting for a sign Prestigious

Oh, maybe I've misunderstood. I thought we had to provide an actual film, not a type someone can then use to select one on their own.

Didn’t think it was possible for me to be more excited for this, but I’m somehow just now learning that Mark Hamill is in it

  11. Gotta do theatrical, it's what they're covering on With Gourley and Rust because the director's cut isn't readily streaming

I’m not a horror aficionado, but i did get the impulse to watch through the AV club vampire movies list from last month (plus a handful of others they didn’t list that i know of but haven’t seen. Here’s the list I’m working through (scores for the ones I’ve seen):

2020 My Heart Can’t Beat Unless You Tell It To

    2007 30 Days of Night (6.5/10)

    2019 Bit (5.5/10)

    2002 Blade II

    1998 Blade (7/10)

1996 From Dusk Til Dawn (7/10)

    1971 Daughters of Darkness

    1988 Vampire’s Kiss (8.5/10)

    1995 The Addiction (8/10)

1970 Taste the Blood of Dracula

    1994 Interview with the Vampire

    2000 Shadow of the Vampire

    1985 Fright Night (6/10)

    1973 Ganja & Hess

    1987 The Lost Boys (7/10)

2013 Only Lovers Left Alive (9/10)

    1931 Dracula

    1932 Vampyr (6/10)

2014 What We Do in the Shadows (8/10)

    1987 Near Dark (7/10)

    1983 The Hunger (7.5/10)

    1979 Nosferatu the Vampire

2014 A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night (8.5/10)

    2009 Thirst

2008 Let the Right One In (8/10)

    1922 Nosferatu

    1992 Bram Stoker’s Dracula

If anyone has any suggestions I should add, let me know! There’s a theater here that does Nosferatu every Halloween with an organ player, and I’m planning for that to be my the final one, so I’ve got a little more than a month and a half to knock these out.

  15. I can't find a suitable antonym for "stan," "hater" feels like too strong a sentiment in this case, obviously there's a difference between hate and merely dislike, but yeah, sometimes I forget we got some Flanagan haters here

    Flanagan show!

  17. Ah, yeah, probably not for me. Tbf I like Hush and Gerald's Game to an extent. It's just his brand of slowburn that doesn't do it for me.

Haven’t seen it personally but I know that Romero’s Martin would fit in here.

  22. If we can get 15 and start halfway into this month, it would let people do Hooptober without too much hassle :) just a thought!

  25. 15 criteria starting on the 15th sounds good; personally I'll probably include it as part of my goal of 31 by Halloween (but not necessarily Hooptober)

When my grandfather died, he had some pretty rough dementia and while I wasn't old enough to see it up close all that much, I saw the impact it had on my mom. This movie did such a great job of showing the mental fallout and confusion/hysteria of it. What a neat and powerful way to illustrate it all. Agreed on the ending too.
