Finally watched Pearl and wow that was fucking awesome. Mia was kinda whatever in X but she really blew me away here. If MaXXXine is as good as the first two, this trilogy will cement itself as one of my favorites

 

It's gotta be a T3 teaser, right?

 

Interested to see where it goes even if I don't love the franchise. Also, post-Halloween date?

 

I need to get around to watching Terrifier 2 soon

 

I'm about forty minutes into House of the Devil. You know, the one with Barbie writer/director Greta Gerwig. yyyup.

I'm currently CHUDdin' it for the first time.

 

Currently watching Possession for the first time and this is the wildest performance I’ve ever ever seen in a movie. Have to keep turning the volume down from the prolonged screaming.

 

maybe I should give Possession another shot sometime

I know it’s considered a cult classic for good reason and many people (some right here) love it but it didn’t do much for me when I watched it

 

I'm shocked, it honestly seems like it would be right up your alley

 

it might’ve just been me, could’ve been in a mood or something but I’ll do a rewatch soonish

 

It very much feels like someone chopped up the vibes of The Shining and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, added a dash of Lovecraft, and threw a European lens over the whole thing

 

There's a Last Drive-In version of it if that piques your interest!

 

Isabelle Adjani in that might be my favourite performance in any film.

 

Was good at building tension but the ending didn't really live up to that initial scare for me. I liked X and especially Pearl a lot more.

 

Wow that last 10 minute of possession went hard. Holy shit what a movie.

 

It’s a wild ride! I’ve watched it with/without other people and the experience was drastically different both times. Either way it’s something I’d recommend checking out at least once.

 

Awesome. I’ll probably save it for October, but I’m definitely gonna get to it this year. I enjoyed the first one, so I’m expecting more of that!

I couldn’t even wait for September.. had to dip my toe into that Halloween vibe. Peeping Halloween 4 tonight.

 

Halloween 4 captures the vibe of the original more than any other sequel

 

Still wish they would've shot it in Pasadena instead of Salt Lake City to get more of that vibe, but that's my only issue with the movie.

 

Yup… and even though 5 is pretty bad, it’s cool to watch them together in isolation from the rest of the series.

 

Also..I have no fucking clue where to fit Halloween Ends into my annual franchise viewing. Like cmon Corey you’re killing me.

 

Halloween Ends will definitely not be in the annual Halloween list. I’m just going pretend it never happened and Michael just died while living in a sewer after his going ham at the end of Kills.
