I haven't seen the first Anabelle, Anabelle Comes Home, or Curse of La Llorona.

 

Unhuman was fun, but a bit tonally inconsistent, and the stylistic choices didn't always pay off. Definitely gonna look out for more Brianne Tju

 

Revisited Host and it was fun, a little less novel out of context but still a good bit creepier than Paranormal Activity or Unfriended

Death Spa? Holy hell. Everyone needs to watch this movie. Pure, genuine 80s insanity. Saturated in neon and aggressively horny. It's all over the place, I felt like I was losing my mind watching it last night. I loved it. On Shudder!

The anthology horror Satanic Hispanics is also getting a theatrical release next month. It looks fun.

 

The Last Voyage of the Demeter is not getting good reviews.

 

I didn't think it looked great tbh

 

Maybe I just love horror movies but these all sound good (except the Nun)

 

Yeah, I didn't have high expectations, but I like Ovredal and was hoping he'd be enough to pull off something with at least some decently spooky atomosphere.

I actually do have Hill House and Bly Manor on DVD but yeah where the heck is Midnight Mass huh Netflix???

 

I saw people recommend Influencer a few pages back. What else is good on Shudder? I bought an annual subscription which is probably almost up and have barely used it.

YES! I think that was the first thing we watched when I got Shudder. That was so great.

 

Sissy would be my next rec then

 

Sissy was probably my favorite thing on Shudder, but Influencer and Watcher are both great as well.

A lot of times we just open it up and see what looks good.
