I'm very excited/curious about it, general consensus among our horror fest folks is that it was overhyped but still quite good, although I've had two people tell me it wasn't scary to them. I'm honestly more excited now than I was initially

Anyways, The Dorm That Dripped Blood was alright, felt pretty basic for an 80s slasher but it's fun enough. Doing Wicked World now.

Saw Talk to Me a second time today - far and away my favorite horror movie this year

I just saw a tiktok of a zombie shark with legs, set to baby shark. I think it's from the new Netflix movie Zom100

 

Annihilation still the best thing to come out of the last decade

Edit: This was a drunken statement but I kinda still stand by it. Every time I drink a lot, my comfort watch is the end of Annihilation

 

Wicked World was unreal.

Checking out Influencer now. Cassandra Naud is awesome. Hoping to get to Brooklyn 45 and Dagon tomorrow.

 

Twisted Metal is…something? Lol. It’s entertaining and I love the cast.. but it’s a hot mess so far.

 

Wow, I LOVED Brooklyn 45. Such a fun setting and premise, looks great, not particularly scary but very tense with great performances and effects work. Low-key one of my favorites of the year, now.

I had to have my beloved cat Rory euthanized on Fri, have been basically in a fog since then, but I managed to get out last night to see Talk To Me. What an incredible distraction! Easily my favorite movie this year.

 

So sorry for your loss I commend you, I usually can't stomach horror when I have things like that taking up my mental energy. During breakups and grieving, it's almost exclusively Food Network for me.

 

I never realized how funny this is until I watched HP with my niece last Halloween. Such a hilarious moment.
