saw the new I sudokus tonight and it’s a silly one. Some good scares but the writing is really rough and the ending doesn’t make any sense??

It's just absolutely average.

 

Rewatched Under the Silver Lake recently and liked it a bit more on second watch, it's definitely a failure but an ambitious one

 

I need to re-watch It Follows soon, but the opening scene is an all time favorite.

 

It Follows and Under the Silver Lake are both great.

 

absolutely love Under the Silver Lake. such a ridiculous, insane, specifically "sophomore swing" movie. not a patch on It Follows, one of the best horrors of the decade by any metric, but still very good

I remember rewatching this recently but can't remember the movie itself, apparently that was back in 2019. I was pre-transition. Four years feels like forever ago

That was written by Max Landis, right? A draft of it anyway apparently he was removed from the project. I liked American Ultra and Chronicle when I first watched them but haven't revisited them since, and probably won't after hearing he's a piece of shit

Just realized I haven't seen any of Chloe's horror films...

 

Yep. Chloe said there were extensive rewrites on it after he was outed but aside from numerous technical errors, it's cheap (and not in a fun way) and has some of the least subtle writing I've ever seen. I don't think they could salvage it. But Greta is good, and the Carrie remake is alright.

 

I loved It Follows, but I’m also biased towards MI movies, sooo

 

It Follows actually isn't a Mission Impossible movie, you're thinking of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, spooky title I know, I get the confusion.

 

pretty sure Ghost Protocol is actually a Paranormal Activity movie
