I have yet to see Spiral either, yet I love the 21 Savage song and still spin it here and there.

What are everyone's picks for best made for TV horror movies? I guess we can include mini-series as well, but mostly talking before streaming.

Bad Ronald, Someone's Watching Me, The Midnight Hour all rule hard.

  6. Oh, I was gonna say anything Flanagan, but you said before streaming, so, idk

Not necessarily the best, but Storm of the Century is one of my favorites

Sometimes They Come Back is also pretty fun. Directed by F13 Part VI's Tom McLoughlin.

I don't think I've seen many but I'm with Aaron on both of his picks.

Just fresh off seeing The Dark Night of the Scarecrow last fall, I would definitely mention that one.

Haven't seen it but I know that Duel gets brought up a lot in this conversation (Spielberg doing the whole sadistic truck driver chasing down an everyman kind of story).

It may be cheating, but Threads also comes to mind.

  14. Oh yeah, Threads for sure. And Ghostwatch! Can't believe I forgot that one, top of my list.

Never heard of Threads, need to check that out. Also watched Dark Night of the Scarecrow for the first time last fall and it was pretty cool, great Halloweentime vibes.

Threads is different than mostly everything else mentioned in a realistic portrayal of wartime fallout kinda way. What I imagine Come and See is like? Haven't seen it though.

Ghostwatch is so cool, especially when you read about how it freaked out the whole country War of the Worlds style.

I mentioned it a couple weeks ago, but Duel is fantastic, Spielberg just has it from the jump.

Then of course the most obvious, the IT mini-series. Scared the shit out of me, but every time it re-aired on USA I couldn't change the channel. I'm also pretty fond of The Shining mini-series, follows the book more closely and is actually shot at The Stanley Hotel.

Just found a couple more that I haven't heard of but sound pretty cool, anyone familiar?

  22. I was deliriously tired when watching the first half of Renfield last night, so I can't say I remember all of it, but so far it seems...kinda bad? Like definitely bad, but also endearingly fun? The humor is insanely hit or miss, hate the narration, but the gore is great. And you're obviously watching for Cage, which also rules

  23. I loved Renfield. I enjoyed it more than Evil Dead Rise, honestly haha. And better/more gore than EDR too, which is pretty crazy.
