I love both of those, you picked a good couple to start with. If you want to try something a little more out there I'd recommend Visitor Q and Audition too. He's made so many movies haha.

Is Ichi the Killer really so bad it warrants being banned in multiple countries? Kinda don't wanna watch something notorious for that

 

Audition is pretty rough too, but it's also very good. Miike is known for some pretty brutal movies

 

Doing Kids vs. Aliens and Leprechaun in the Hood tonight

 

There's a lot of gore but it's also pretty over the top and unrealistic if I remember it correctly. I found it a lot of fun haha.

 

Holy shit, I still have half an hour left but Kids vs. Aliens fucking rules lol. Supremely dumb, an hour and 15 minutes, practical effects, it's like high-fantasy sci-fi horror that feels like an R-rated Goosebumps episode. Genuinely funny. I was unsure of the first 20 minutes or so but this whips ass

It's also an extension of the Alien Abduction Slumber Party segment from VHS if that piques anyone's interest. Not found footage though, more like 80s/90s throwback

@OhTheWater check this one out, it feels like something VinSyn would release today if it came out 30-40 years ago lol

Vinegar Syndrome is going to be at our horror festival (which anyone near PA/OH/NY should come to) and it is going to destroy my finances

 

Also I always wondered why I never remembered what happened in The Strangers (aside from the ending) and upon rewatch, it's because...nothing happens in that movie lmao. It's like an hour of them just knocking on the door. Pretty boring imo even if Liv Tyler is great. I think the movie got overhyped because of the ending. The sequel was much, much better.
