The local Art Theater that I've been meaning to check out since I moved here a decade ago is doing a secret Stephen King adaptation on 16mm tomorrow. Surprised my girlfriend actually suggested going since she's usually in bed by then, should be pretty dope. Hopefully it's not Misery since we just watched that a couple days ago.

Lots of good replies to this but this one with stick with me forever. Toni not being AT LEAST nominated is such a snub to the horror genre, but it is what it is.

A lot of really obnoxious screaming and the acting ain’t great but the imagery and overall aesthetic rules.

The 16mm surprise Stephen King print ended up being The Dead Zone. It was really dope, that theater is amazing, an old silent movie house from the '20s redone in an art deco style in the '30s. The print looked fantastic and they showed The Sixth Sense trailer on film before it started. Good crowd too, only about 50 people but everyone was really into it. Great time at the theater.

  10. Anyone else remember The Fourth Kind? Lol. Picked up a copy at the thrift store because I remember seeing it in theaters as a kid and thinking it sucked. It definitely still kinda does, but I'll admit, some of the fake-real footage creeped me out, and the editing is so unhinged that it's almost admirable. Anyways, that guy 100% got put in director jail for that one even thought it was profitable lol

Not sure it’s a straight horror movie but watched Don’t Look Now (free on Pluto) and loved it

VinSyn has some low, low prices on Going OOP partner label BDs. WNUF and Killing Spree both going for $10, I grabbed them. Sorry for not posting earlier, the Video Violence set was $25. If you still haven’t seen them, they are on Tubi now

  20. So for the Third Saturday movies, you’re supposed to watch part 5 first and then part 1, yeah?

  24. Ah, yeah, just saw that. I have all three movies on DVD so it's not a super necessary purchase anyways, just a good price!
