If you're in Baltimore, go be in a Chris LaMartina movie.

Hell yeah, very excited for this. Might need to finally read Night Shift before this comes out.

  11. Started Hellraiser: Bloodline last night lol officially on a journey. Pinhead in space!? Adam Scott!?

I just finished Skeleton Crew, and started The Stand while I had COVID (that was uhhh... interesting), but yeah I think Night Shift has to be next.

Shout out to The Raft, so much fun to read and to see in Creepshow 2.

More horror-adjacent post, but might try and catch Sisu this weekend or next week. Did not realize it's directed by the same guy that did Rare Exports. And it just looks pretty badass too.

  17. Any guesses for tonight? Replies are pointing to The Wicker Man and The Blood on Satan's Claw

  18. Also, Hellraiser: Bloodline was...rough, lol. Points for 19th century Adam Scott though

Those guesses probably make good sense. I've not seen Satan's Claw. I was really hoping for Blair Witch tbh.

Watched Final Exam and wow that was kinda miserable. They really thought they'd make a Halloween knock-off (literally the score gets as close to Carpenter's main theme as possible in the most silly way) without any of the heart. A faked school shooting too! Some cool shots and camera work in a couple scenes, but that was literally it for me haha

  21. I thought I heard there was a good twist to this one? Maybe I'm thinking of a different school slasher.

I actually haven't seen the original Wicker Man either, so if those are the ones, I guess I'm in for a ride!

  23. Jennifer's Body tonight! Somehow managed to snag the unrated version on bluray, which I haven't seen! This'll be the last horror comedy I have planned for my friends for phase one (three being the scariest, four being just weird/bonkers heh), though they're free to revert to this subgenre if they find the later films i have planned to be too much for them, with the caveat that they have to do the research and choose the movie, from a list I've already prepared. Am I overthinking this? Maybe. Are we having fun? I think so!

Unless I completely missed something altogether, there was no twist at all in Final Exam - there wasn't any plausible motive at all for the killer that I could find. And not like in a way that made it more scary (again, like Michael Myers) but in a goofy nonsensical way.

The Wicker Man is fantastic and if they don't show it tonight, you should definitely check it out.
