TLDI season premiere this week!

 

My brains are going to be absolutely scrambled by seeing The Fablemans, Beau is Afraid, Evil Dead Rise, and whatever they show on TLDI over the next 48 hours or so lol

 

Curious to see which new release will be your favorite

 

Rewatched The Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2 past two nights, man ED2 fuckin' rules. Army of Darkness tonight, Evil Dead 2013 tomorrow, and the Rises Friday. Gonna be a good week.

I'm guessing that 3 (and 4? was there 4?) are not direct tie-ins? I only remember seeing 1 and 2.

 

Technically, they're all in the same continuity, but it seems like the new movie is a direct sequel to the first two. I don't remember much about 3 other than it's a prequel that isn't about the Lambert family. I don't think I actually saw 4. Just heard it wasn't great.

 

3 is the best insidious movie and no I will not be taking any more questions at this time.

 

New Insidious looks sick! Those movies have such a feeling of unease and unpredictability to them while also being super slick.

Yeah, I have six hours until I get to leave work. Gotta try to actually get some things done to distract me

Also, I rewatched The Box for the first time since it came out. Richard Kelly really loved portals so much that they put him in director's jail lol

 

Finished Army of Darkness last night. I must have never seen past 30 minutes of this before. Everything in the beginning with being captured, fighting, the boom stick line, etc. I remember, but do no remember the doppleganger stuff afterwards, at all. Definitely way more campy than ED and ED2.

 

Evil Dead Rise in 20 minutes. Will report back!
