Wasn't hellbent on seeing it but my fiancee is stoked so we are checking out Renfield tomorrow evening

 

I'm stoked on it and also seeing it tomorrow. Mario tonight, Renfield tomorrow, Mafia Thursday.

 

I feel like I want to save Renfield for October

 

I have never wanted anything more than that.

 

I feel like I missed the boat with Huesera. Anyone in here see it?

 

Watched Smile tonight and did not like it

 

I had tickets to see it, but had to cancel. Been dying to see it ever since.

 

I thought it was decent. The horror is woven into the dread and anxiety of being a new mother, and there's some cool body horror. Likely won't end up being one of my favorites of the year, but it's worth a watch for sure.

 

Smile was such a pleasant surprise for me

 

Is it/was it streaming anywhere or just VOD? I was surprised to see it listed in the #1 spot for best reviewed movies of the year so far on RT.

 

It's VOD only right now, but I believe it's supposed to come to Shudder at some point. Not sure when.

 

Very cool! I’ll stay tuned.

Really enjoying Nocebo thus far!

Edit: finished Nocebo and it kinda falls apart in the end but still good stuff.

 

Renfield was batshit crazy and real dumb fun. Lots to enjoy here and as long as you aren’t looking for anything with depth, it’s a hoot. Nic Cage has some truly great moments and the gore is comically absurd

 

The latest trailer I saw for it might have given too much away but honestly the clips of the gore just got me more hyped, I'm hoping to drag my friends to see it with me this weekend

 

I really liked Renfield! The apartment complex scene was top notch, and Nic Cage was fantastic.

 

I was grinning ear to ear the whole time and the way it wraps up is just too good haha

 

A lil Dracula resurgence is happening eh

 

Anyone going to check out Pope’s Exorcist?

 

Last Voyager of The Demeter looks super cool, big fan of Autopsy of Jane Doe so having him take on another isolated monster movie is a great idea.

The needle drop in that trailer is unbelievably bad, I laughed so hard

 

I wasn't going to because I don't think Crowe can do horror with... whatever accent that's supposed to be, but the last trailer I saw was actually kinda interesting

 

Hahaha yeah, don't think Last Voyage is gonna be for me. Looks super dark visually and that needle drop was...a choice
