  1. It's mostly just the wraparound for me. I like the idea of Dante even if the execution isn't there. Parallel Monsters is my fave, followed by Bonestorm.

  3. Skinamarink today and Infinity Pool Friday if all goes to plan. Will also try to watch the other two Fear Street movies, and I'll be showing my friends HDD2

  4. Skinamarink was the most unsettling theater experience I've had since Hereditary

But it of course being a theater...

At the end some old guy booed then as he walked out he said "what a stupid movie"

I just watched Hereditary for the first time just now. Took a couple of pause breaks. Finger on the volume at all times. When things get shifty(especially that latter 1/4) it was volume almost off for me. Started watching it alone, then kinda waited til the wife got home to finish……

A bit disappointed in the attic. I had heard of “the horrors/atrocities that await in the attic”. And it was just naked old people and some creepy stabbing. And how did ol’ girl go from beating her head against the door, though walls, to suspended in the air?
but I liked it. I think Midsommar will have stuck with me more, but I love having this stuff to sit and think on for a day or two.

if I would have watched that in a theater I would have had fingers in ears for 100% sure.

I remember people were just laughing their asses off at the end of Hereditary with the attic and the nakedness but then they got to the tree house with the rotting head and the ritual and then it stopped.

Also that movie has the clear distinction of upsetting my friends so much that they had nightmares about it.

Triple post but the best old people getting mad at a movie was when I saw Mother! and this whole group of boomers got up and left at the baby Jesus getting torn to shreds scene. Like they sat through that whole ass movie and that’s what broke them.

I am getting really hyped for it after reading some snippets of reviews. Sounds like it is truly off the rails and extreme

  11. 1978 was also good! Love Sadie Sink I caught on almost instantly that Ziggy was gonna be Gillian Jacobs' character. Clever, though, using Cindy as a red herring for C. Berman.

I noticed all the campers died off screen, which is good, I wouldn't want to see kids chopped to bits; is there a law against showing that? Violence against children?
Even after seeing all that axe murderin', I still think Kate's death was excessively brutal. She didn't deserve to go out like that

  12. I didn't realize I forgot to cancel Shudder and noticed it charged my card so I tried to cancel and got a free month instead...!

Fear Street 1666 is also really good so far! and really gay! but really sad!

I'm about ten minutes into the 1994 portion, gonna take a break, but the "'Urkel?' 'You wanna help kill Sherriff Goode?' 'Lemme grab my coat'" exchange was gold.

    edit: finished! so good!

since they were filmed back to back, it's a really tight trilogy. I'm really excited to see what Chloe Okuno does with the formula they've established

Has this world stopped asking what it's thinking?

I just witnessed 3 coworkers watch the M3GAN trailer and when she gets down on all fours, one of them gave the loudest "UH UH. Oh hell no!"

I’ve been posting among a lot of you now for quite some time, so I mean no disrespect to anyone when I say this.. I legitimately want Friday the 13th to start from scratch with someone who can actually make it good and not campy.

    I love you all.
