That stinks. I hopped on for the first time in a while around Halloween and still had all my stuff? Was it after that?

I have no idea what I want to watch tonight.

Saw something about this film snowboarding film called Shredder, but it’s not streaming. 2023 problems.

 

Two people walked out of Skinamarink and one guy yelled "DID ANYBODY LIKE THAT PRETENTIOUS PIECE OF SHIT" at the end of the movie hahahahaha. Still five stars, still terrifying. So loud in theaters.

 

Skinamarink was interesting and I kinda wanna watch it again.

 

This trailer played before the movie and it looks nuts.

House of Darkness…completely underwhelming given the talent in the film.

 

I’m not going to be able to sleep tonight. I’m going to close my eyes and see images from Skinamarink. Goddamit.

 

I liked Sick quite a bit.

 

I never understand people who act like this. Like you have a magic space phone that can magically look up information about a movie before you go see it, why not do that and save yourself some time and money about a movie you clearly are not gonna enjoy?

 

I watched it after seeing people say it was the scariest thing they'd seen in years and reading the synopsis on Letterboxd. Sounded like something I'd love so obviously didn't want to look up anything else about it. Probably the least enjoyable film I watched last year haha. Still wouldn't say its a pretentious piece of shit lol and definitely wouldn't yell something like that in public. Guy sounds like a dweeb.

 

My friends seemed to enjoy Happy Death Day! My horror movie club is off to a good start, I think

The trouble with rewatching these is I keep waiting for something to happen and then remembering it's in the next one haha

 

It's definitely not for everyone, and I don't think you're wrong for not enjoying it. It just really taps into something primal for me that I haven't experienced since childhood I guess.

 

SHOCKED that Jennifer's Body is still so fucking funny and bloody and stylish and fun. The 9/11 tribute shooters joke killed me

 

that's what I mean, the older I get the clearer it is that movies are not objective things at all because we all come to them with different perspectives which changes the film itself. just because a person doesn't connect with something that doesn't mean it's bad or pretentious, it's just not for you which is fine. I'm still glad I checked it out and it's hit so hard for so many people.

 

Definitely need to show my friends Jennifer's Body at some point

 

For sure, and we're all guilty of it with certain art/artists, but like 99% of the time I am not trying to take the piss out of something for fun. I would of course always rather enjoy something than not. I appreciate that this thread in particular is pretty good with sharing differing thoughts, opinions, and perspectives without getting shitty
