I think Gemma being someone that just lowkey hates kids and doesn't know how to interact with them, despite being a doll engineer, was more fascinating than just making her evil and greedy

Did not realize Nothing But Trouble was kind of a horror film? Don't know much about it aside from the makeup, so I'm doing that and Moonstalker tonight.

 

Oh idk I don't think I'd take it that far, making her evil, I think this particular film calls for her character to be a bit more grounded. Her being more fascinated in toys than kids then having to take in a kid is definitely fascinating. I'm sure most people will recognize her from Get Out. I just really like The Perfection haha

 

the best way to watch it honestly. I don't know how I'd describe it anyway and I've seen it 5-6 times

I was waiting at the end for a reveal of a warehouse full of them, sequel makes sense

 

Had to watch it again, third time now. Fucking love this movie. First time is an insane experience for sure, the twists are wild, but I think it's even better on rewatch
