I loved the remake, haters be damned

  7. The remake has haters!? It's likely the best horror remake for my money

Oh there definitely are, though a lot of their criticisms basically boil down to “I just didn’t like it and yes, I am putting the trilogy on a pedestal.”

  10. It's probably my second favorite after the original. They just totally went for broke on how bloody and brutal it was. Wild theater experience.

Evil Dead has gotta be the best horror remake, what else even comes close? The Crazies and Fright Night I guess?

    The Fly & The Thing

But that’s kinda cheating since both of them kinda overshadow the original to the point it’s easy to forget they’re remakes

    13 Ghosts
    Rob Zombie’s Halloween
    The Invisible Man
    House of Wax

Besides the usual ones, some of my favorite remakes.

I don’t feel this way personally but i’ve seen others mention the Suspiria remake in this kind of conversation

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) is the best horror remake and it’s not even close

I do absolutely adore this movie. saw it by myself in a cinema with two older ladies and it's still the wildest, grossest and least comfortable theatre viewing experience I've ever had. loved every second of it. it's so different from Argento's that I almost think of it as an original film though

(on that note Snyder's Dawn of the Dead remake still whips)
