Same. Also why. This score is so hilarious lol.

Edit: lmao at the synth completely burying the dialogue explaining the doll. love it.

Violent Night is fun. Absolutely panders and the writing is sub par but people get brutally killed and the Home Alone bit is fun. Happy it made it to theaters

Welcome to the party, pals. No looking back now. You’ve reached rock bottom as far as I’ve found it!

So Unearthed Films has a Roku channel and I found out you can watch American Guinea Pig: Bouquet of Gore and Guts for free. Great VFX but goddamn this is a brutal ass watch

Killing time at work today and ended up down a wormhole of Youtube videos where this guy talks about what Saw traps were beatable vs. unbeatable and now I just wanna run through all of them since its been a couple years

  12. I actually haven't seen past 3, though I've heard they just get worse after that

They literally become so convoluted and as a viewer, you absolutely feel cheated by the way they "reveal" these dumb plot twists but gosh they are fun. More plot holes than swiss cheese.

  14. Having just revisited them around the time of Spiral, I gotta say, 2 is the best, but the first and third aren't great. I honestly prefer 4 and 6 over them. 7/3D is camp, and Jigsaw and Spiral are solid takes on the franchise.

The series is dumb mainstream gorehound fun, 3 just happens to be way too mean-spirited for me and 5 is really weak. If Saw 2 was a standalone film, it would probably be a lot more revered.

The main problem with the later sequels imo is that the villains basically ignore the basic rules the franchise sets up from the beginning and it becomes more about the traps and people getting killed than the actual plot. Still love the series though

The Bousman movies are by far the best ones (2,3,4, and Spiral). The SAW franchise has come comfort movies for me in the weirdest way. 2 and Spiral are the two I return to the most.

Does anyone know if they are all streaming anywhere? I know that HBO had most of them for a bit.

The story behind all of it is sad.

One of the most uncomfortable movie viewing experiences I've had.

  22. Yeah, reading about that fucked me up. I think the film is good. It's really interesting and endearing and pretty well-executed. It's all just so bleak.

  23. In other fucked up movie news, I did not hear about Blumhouse's Soft and Quiet until today but color me shocked that a movie about a bunch of Nazi women systematically terrorizing minorities did not get a theatrical release and is proving pretty controversial

  24. Just read about Toad Road, so sad. Never heard of it before

I googled Soft and Quiet and one of the first things that came up was a rating description including disturbing racial violence including rape and uh… I think I’m gonna pass
