  1. It wasn't on Max the last time I checked. It's on Prime, though.
Yup, it's on iTunes! but apparently it's kind of confusing for people because it's listed as an extra and not its own thing.
Probably won't buy these now, but it's good to know they're out there.

  2. So yeah, I managed to catch Bones and All, and I'm glad I did, but I wish people didn't giggle at everything that made them uncomfortable, it really took me out of the movie. I probably should've waited for a daytime showing with an empty theater. I don't know, today was just the day this week I had decided I was gonna go see something and, as I said before, there weren't a lot of showtimes to choose from.

I talked about how Prey juxtaposed the grotesque with the beautiful, there's a bit of that going on here as well. Some very intense and disturbing scenes. There's something so primal about seeing someone biting into someone else that separates something like this or Raw from something like Fresh or Hannibal, it's just as fascinating but in a different way. Interspersed with the ugliness, there are some really nice shots of landscapes, and some really nice moments between the two leads, who by the way did such a great job, they were so endearing. Take away all the cannibalism aspects and at its core there's this bittersweet YA romance. tbh I had my doubts, but it really pulled it off, it managed to balance both.

I try not to think of reviews as number ratings on a scale, but like, bonus points for making me cry, and this one almost got me. Probably would've if not for the annoying audience.

Yep. I lost sleep over that movie. Awful emptiness lol.

  4. I just watched The Watcher and I just want to curl up into a ball of anxiety. Maika Monroe is fantastic, but I've seen her in It Follows, I already knew this. The movie is largely quiet as it builds tension and makes you really feel her paranoia. Definitely interested in seeing what Chloe Okuno directs next.

Nah, there’s a general story being told, just through different time periods. Very queer and diverse cast.

    Started A Wounded Fawn.

Might go with Crimes of the Future after. Maybe a third film if I can stay awake.

Hah, Sissy is bonkers. Reminded me of Bodies x3. Fun stuff

Still a couple more to get to on Shudder (Resurrection, Deadstream) before I finalize my top ten.

    Sissy is so damn good.

What a strange movie Men was. Really dug it though. Don't think it'd crack my top 10 of the year but maybe it'd be 11th place? lol

This is real difficult and it’s not firm but this is what I got for horror. Still haven’t seen Sissy, What Josiah Saw, Bones and All.

    The Innocents
    Barbarian
    Pearl
    Nope
    Prey
    Watcher
    Resurrection
    Deadstream
    Speak No Evil
    The Sadness

Admittedly I didn’t really love anything released in horror this year but my favorites are

    Nope
    Scream (22)
    Hellraiser (22)
    Prey
    Doctor Strange? Lol

However, there were a few series I loved including All Of Us Are Dead and Servant

I just recently got around to The Black Phone and sadly did not enjoy like most.

  20. What's that website where you enter a list and it asks which of two options you prefer until it ranks them all?

Has anyone watched Anna and the Apocalypse on Shudder? I’ve seen this movie like 3 times the past few years and I swear this version is different

Edit: Yes okay so Shudder has the festival cut of the film which is much longer!
