So Shudder dropped two movies called The Queen of Black Magic within a few days' time?

Also big ups to La Llorona gettin the GG nom.

  2. Any guess for The Last Drive-In Valentine's Day Special next week? I think one of them is The Love Witch. Not sure about the other.

I liked The Love Witch a bunch. That whole aesthetic was gorgeous

Yes, Shudder added both the original Queen of Black Magic and the new remake.

Starting Nightmare 2. I watched Scream, Queen last week and haven't seen 2 in about 20 years.

Nightmare 2 was a surprising blast. The effects are incredible!

Onto Nightmare 4! The lack of Dream Warriors on streaming is frustrating.

Nightmare 2 is probably my favorite of the series and I say it with no hesitation

  11. Lol I have such a soft spot for Alien vs. Predator. I saw it before any of the standalone flicks. It's such a big dumb action horror piece, but then again, so is Aliens. And Predator. It's not as good as those movies, but it's a fun ride for my money, and I remember it being my favorite film I first saw it (I was 10).

Only saw the sequel once and hated it, although I will be rewatching it for With Gourley and Rust.

I saw AVP:R in theaters, I was literally the only person who paid for that showing and watched it, all alone in an empty theater. Did I MST3000 that shit? Oh yeah I did.

Asking the thread because they discuss it on With Gourley & Rust: Does Ripley bang a Xenomorph in Alien Resurrection? I seemed to remember it from watching as a kid so I rewatched it this week and she is definitely getting hugged in a sensual way and they almost kiss.

  15. I definitely never interpretted it that way. I thought it was more of like...a maternal relationship considering their DNA was spliced. It's unclear, but I interpreted it the same way Gourley did.

NOES is my favorite franchise but I don't think I've ever made it all the way through 2. Surprised to see people call it their favorite! I'll have to give that one another try, but I've made at least three attempts in the past five years. I always lose interest in it pretty quickly.

NOES2 is the queerest and that makes it the best. Truly a great movie.

no crying in my bath tonight

I need The Green Knight to hurry up and get here

  20. NOES2 has grown on me a little each time I watched it, but I did struggle with it the first time through. Still need to watch Scream, Queen.

I forgot how bad the My Bloody Valentine remake is.

It’s bad but it’s also surprisingly BRUTAL. The old man and the guy on the porch deaths are nuts.

  23. Damn I think it's honestly really solid lol a lil dated but great kills. First R-rated movie I ever saw in theaters.

Don’t get me wrong. It’s not the worst remake and I support remakes fully. I think it’s the male lead actors that bring it down for me. The kills are great, but I wish I could have seen them in theaters for the 3D aspect.

Valentine lol I forgot about that movie. What an interesting cast that was too. Katherine Heigl LOVED terrible horror films early on.
