  6. Again, not exactly horror, but Yuppie Nightmare number 6(?), Consenting Adults, is just so bonkers and well-acted and scored. I loved it, warts and all.

I finally got to Raising Cain yesterday. Lol what the fuck was that? I definitely lean a little more towards Matt's opinions on De Palma, while there's some I really love, a lot I'm just confounded by.

  8. Lol Raising Cain was... phew. Bonkers, in same ways admirable, but did not work for me. I go back and forth a bunch on De Palma. Wasnt huge on Body Double either, but I adore Blow Out.

  12. A little underwhelmed by the season finale but if it gets picked up for a second season I'm so down

  13. Terrifier 2 was okay! Pretty good, even. Loved the way it looked, lots of giallo lighting, and the characters are pretty genuine. The kills speak for themselves. First two acts rip and then the end kinda devolves into the misery porn of the first film again, which is a drag, but it's still a pretty big leap in quality.

  14. The carnival aesthetic in Final Destination 3 is so good. This thing is like a perfect time capsule of the mid-2000s.

That movie is damn near perfect imo except for the rollercoaster mistake or whatever you wanna call it bugging the shit out of me lol

  16. It's probably my favorite after the fifth one, which I will be watching next lol. This franchise is so much better than it has any right being.

Dreams in the Witch House did not land as well for me as some of the others in CoC but still was very enjoyable and well done. The Viewing might have been my favorite so far though - mainly because of it being Panos. Wow, the man really loves a lens flare. Stylistically, very similar to BtBR and Mandy (thematically, it's similar to Mandy too, in some ways), but with a more dialed-in mystery to it. Eric Andre was better than I was expecting in this role too.
