  4. We watched Curse of Bridge Hollow lastnight and I loooved it! It was just the right amount of cute, just the right amount of funny, just the right amount of Halloween, and with a fun plot too. It's on Netflix, so hit that shit up if you want something light but fun the whole way through.

Is satan’s little helper on your plex? I have access to that and want to watch it soon. Might this weekend because my gf won’t want to

Don’t think I loved Barbarian as much as others did, but it was very fun with a good score and loved the way it was shot. Maybe I just need a second viewing.

  13. Hahaha I do the same thing. I love watching the bad 80s gross movies, and my wife does not.

yep same. She loves stuff more like conjuring or hellhouse llc. Anything else isn’t really in her wheelhouse but I can sway her to watch most things. Then I save everything else for weekends like this one coming up.

I think just the amount of pure evil Frank committed through his life, and the pain and suffering he caused, he was definitely the worst thing down there even in the state right before his death. Just because he wasn't a threat as an old man or to Justin Long doesn't mean he's not an extremely sinister and terrifying figure.

  17. Yeah, I hate to say it but I do think the hype was a *bit* overblown. Still very fun and a wild ride for sure.

In other news, Freaky is still great

  18. Barbarian was the biggest surprise of this year, much like Malignant was last year.

Honestly, Hubie Halloween has no right to be that good. Probably the biggest surprise of 2020.

Okay, now that I'm thinking of Hubie, I'm just gonna list off some of my other favorite recent horror comedies, since a couple were already mentioned on this page.
Ready or Not, The Babysitter 1+2, Happy Death Day 1+2 & Freaky, Anna and the Apocalypse, Bodies x3, Little Monsters,

I was gonna be like, Oh hey that one Adam Driver zombie movie was also really funny, but then I remembered fucking Bill Murray is also in it.

Watching I Saw The Devil for the first time. This shit is wild.

Edit: not sure if this is really horror (though it is horrific) but it's good.

  22. Xtro isn’t a Halloween type of horror movie. But it was also not very good. Although some of the practical effects were pretty gnarly, which was fun.

In other news, I found the house from Deadstream on Google Maps tonight. It’s only like 45 minutes from my apartment. So I think I might drive there and watch the movie on my laptop outside of the house. Or inside……

What a great night of movies. Pearl was super creepy and Mia Goth was amazing. Between X/Pearl she’s on one hell of a run. I’m so glad I avoided spoilers for Barbarian. The movie is a ton of fun and nothing like what I expected. Probably my favorite horror film of the year along with Sissy/X.

  24. Watched Terrifier 2. I can't remember much about the first one because it felt like I wasted my time watching it, but this one worked for me a little better. Still, the movie is way too long and full of nonsensical shit that it didn't need. The kills are gnarly and Art the Clown is creepy, so it was worth the watch for that.
