that was fun apart from one butt segment. might actually be the VHS movie with the best hit rate. Raatma was the highlight but I really enjoyed the last segment too, though I was really hoping the creature was actually gonna be Jesus Christ. seems like something this franchise will do eventually

bring on 99, excited to see what Flying Lotus especially brings to the table

  3. My favorite of the originals!

Also, Peacock really upped their game for Halloween. In the middle of Devil right now (lol) and they also have The Funhouse, which has been on my list for forever. Also The American Scream! My favorite home haunts documentary. A perfect, wholesome, seasonal watch.

Peacock easily has the best interface/setup for Halloween this year. I really appreciate the different categories and even sorting by decades Peacock and Paramount have a really good selection of early horror.

Peacock gets deducted points for no longer calling it Peacocktober.

The Funhouse is a movie I saw as a kid one early morning before Sunday School, and I remember not being able to focus because I just kept thinking about it the entire time. I didn’t get to revisit it until I was an adult, and the pacing is abysmal, but I still love it so much even if it’s not my favorite Tobe Hooper movie. I definitely recommend it. I remember as a kid wanting to sneak into a fair to sleep in a funhouse because of this movie (lol) and honestly I still kind of do.

  12. Sosie Bacon! Daughter of Kevin Bacon? idk why I didn't immediately make the connection haha.
Also she's younger than me? By only like a few months but like dang, I thought she was at least 35, apparently I'm really bad at telling people's age

Watching Hell Night for the first time. I don't think I've seen it discussed in here but it takes place on Halloween and stars Linda Blair.

I gotta say, I’m currently watching Scream 2 and I’m blown away by the CiCi stalking sequence. That entire scene in the sorority house is fucking mint.

edit: the sequence ending in the image of death coinciding with the start of an Everclear song… can it GET any more 90s?!?

  17. My favorite moment from Scream 2 is the Aliens homage in the sound studio

Yes! I hadn’t recognized that until recently, actually. Great scene.

Tonight’s double feature of His House and Sissy. Knocking out as much as I can before The Midnight Club takes over my life this weekend. Loving spooky season but wish it was 80+ degrees and sunny every day. Makes it hard to feel like fall.

Thank you guys for suggesting Sissy! Definitely one of my favorites of the last few years and way better than I expected. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Fantastic combination of comedy, great acting, gore and loved the twist. That movie alone is worth signing up for Shudder.
