I couldn't care less about Jeepers Creepers, but if it doesn't involve the original creator (which is a good thing) and is essentially a reboot, just make a new monster lol

 

I'm interested to see how they do Freaky

 

Based on the trailer, this looks like a Hellraiser situation where they are mostly using it for name recognition. The creature didn't use haunted houses and shit to hide and kill. He was out in the open ripping people to shreds. This feels like something written for a different monster/killer. Just stupid. I'd much prefer something that doesn't have a p*do's IP attached to it.

It's been a long week. Looking for recs for some stuff to throw on tonight. Looking for schlock, gore, and camp. Wanna turn my brain off and get lost in it.

 

Started May the Devil Take You last night. Its basically a Indonesian take on Evil Dead. About halfway in, it delivers on the gore. Not sure I love it, but the Raimi nods are fun.

 

Just watched Near Dark for the first time and it rules.

Going to try to get in Child's Play 3 today for Gourley and Rust before going to see Nope at 7:30.

My go-to's are Video Violence 2 and Psychos in Love, but I don't think they're streaming anywhere unfortunately. I love Tourist Trap, that used to be on Shudder (I think there was a Joe Bob version from the original marathon as well). Creepshow is always fun, so is Phantasm (there's a Joe Bob version of that, too).

 

Going tomorrow afternoon. Very excited.

 

The only Child's Play I don't really like lol but maybe you'll dig it! Enjoy Nope!

Watching Antlers and I'm annoyed lol. Ur school employees and mandatory reporters but no let's not call cps and just break and enter in the super sketchy home by yourself and not have any lights on and unlock the clearly very quadruple locked door with multiple bolts on it. okay cool.

I just started Butcher, Baker, Nightmare Maker and I am already IN.

 

This is great so far. It is much weirder - and better - than I expected. The acting is surprisingly good all around and Susan Tyrell‘s performance is so creepy.

Fuck this detective, too.
