That part was cool but that was the only thing I think I enjoyed about that movie.

I don't even know if I saw 10 new horror films in 2021.

I have held off my list because there's at least three movies (Night House, Super Deep, and Silent Night) that I want to see before doing it.

  10. I posted a list a while back but just wanna echo Censor, the Fear Street movies, and VHS94

  14. I totally forgot A Quiet Place pt 2 was last year.

Also holy crap we're calling 2021 "last year."

  15. Did not like Come True at all. Or A Quiet Place 2, really. I guess it was okay, but lots of issues (as with the first one)

If it has stuck the landing, it would have been a love for me. I hated the reveal so fucking much. The tension and mystery throughout was cool and the visuals were awesome. But got damn was the ending horrible. Reading up on it, I appreciate what they were going for.

  17. Assuming you're talking about Come True? I loved the first half, and the visuals were amazing, but the second half of the film and the ending really killed it for me. Had to dig back through my Letterboxd reviews to find my specific thoughts on it:

A Quiet Place Part Two was basically the same movie with minor tweaks

True but I just expected something a little bit more than what I got.

False Positive? Ended up watching 30 min of it earlier and will probably finish it later

I don’t want them to go back to that well a third time, but I liked AQP2 a lot

False Positive was one of my disappointments of the year. Just wasn’t into it.

Escape Room: Tournament of Champions was good. It’s one of those easy watches I wouldn’t mind having an annual movie as a franchise.

Which version did you see? I watched it recently, and when I went to look something up about the ending, it was describing a series of events that didn’t happen in what I saw. Found out there’s the theatrical version and the extended, which isn’t what it sounds like at all because it’s a completely different plot line.

    what???

I didn't like whatever ending I saw. The back quarter of that movie was such a fucking eyeroll for me.
