Got my Severin Films All the Haunts Be Ours Folk Horror compendium today! Very excited - I've not seen a single one of these movies but there are a few I've always wanted to check out.

  18. Unfortunately did not enjoy Star Time. Off work for the next four days, so I'm about to watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning and Diary of the Dead along with the rest of my VS haul.

TCM DVD just showed a trailer for The Number 23 and I fucking loved that movie when I was 13 lmao

haha not to ruin your excitement or curiosity for The Number 23, but I remember seeing it in theaters when I was a teenager and thought it was real good, watched it on Tubi or something a few months ago and had to stop halfway through. Read the synopsis on Wikipedia since I couldn’t remember and was baffled at almost every sentence for what happens so now I understand why it got shit reviews lol. But hopefully you still find enjoyment in it!

  21. Yeah, I have a feeling I shouldn't revisit that one (I had a similar problem, albeit not as bad, with Pitch Black recently) but who knows.

Recently watched Scream 4 and I definitely like it more than Scream 2 and 3. I really hope Kirby is in Scream 2022, even if it's just cameo.

Last time I watched Scream 4 (two years ago?) I was blown away by how violent it was - or at least that girls death in the bedroom in the first half hour or so. For some reason that seemed really brutal and stood out to me. Not sure if I’d still feel that way or what it was at the time, always found it odd (love the film, not critiquing it).
