I'm not sure if We Need to Do Something was intentionally campy but I enjoyed it either way lol. I want to read the novella soon.

 

Downloaded the new “naughty cut” of Krampus! Has anyone watched it yet? Is it cool?

 

I haven't yet, but probably will this weekend. Apparently it's only like 4 minutes longer, so I doubt it's going to be much different.

Sure does haha. It's easier if you use Letterboxd, and if you can come up with 50 films, bias sorter can help you rank them!

 

Maybe a long shot, but is anyone else familiar with The Ghost and Mr. Chicken with Don Knotts? I must have watched and borrowed my grandparents' VHS of that movie dozens of times. Rewatched it last night and I had like genuine sensory memories of it. Truly funny at times and while it isn't exactly creepy now, the self-playing organ/piano definitely got me as a kid. Just a lovely little film that is probably at least partially responsible for how much I came to love both horror and comedy.

 

Don Knotts was a big piece of my childhood. My parents were big fans of his. They had his episode of Scooby Doo and Mr. Chicken on the same tape. I haven't thought about that in years.

 

I only thought to watch it because I was watching the original The Blob last week and seem to remember also watching it at my grandparents'. Both are worth revisiting!

 

Finally got around to seeing Spiral: From the Book of Saw the other day

Not very good

 

Gonna have to sit on Silent Night for a little bit. Well-executed, funny, but probably one of the bleakest films I've ever seen, borderline bleak for bleak's sake, which I really hate in movies. Someone on Letterboxd said to go in blind, but there really wasn't a twist. It was just fucking depressing. Idk

 

Is this the movie with Keira Knightley?

 

I have it downloaded with no idea when I'm going to get to it. Kinda sitting on Antlers first.

Joe Bob Ruins Christmas tonight! Based on the single clue, I'm thinking it will be Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 and Halloween 3.

 

Vinegar Syndrome order came just in time for me to watch nothing else over my holiday break next weekend! Only bummed I no longer have the Joe Bob version of Blood Harvest to watch.

 

That movie was way more funny than I ever expected it to be.

 

I did Black Christmas (2019) last night. Didn’t love it. Thought the kills were pretty lacking

 

And just as depressing as I should have expected lmao

 

Ice Cream Man(!) and Gator Bait on The Last Drive In last night. I have the VS Blu-ray of Ice Cream Man with his original Monstervision ep on it. Gator Bait was about as wild as you'd expect

 

Really enjoyed The Cleansing Hour.
