I remember watching the 2006 version in theaters and thinking “yup, I do have limits” lmao

but I’m gonna rewatch that one, plus 2019 cause I’m a completist, dammit

  2. I've only seen the 2019 Black Christmas. Being blunt is... fine, but I think the third act works against everything it was building towards. To have the men be mindlessly following the will of some supernatural entity kind of absolves them some of the blame being terrible towards women

Anyone watched Silent Night yet? I hadn't even heard of it until today, but based on the plot, cast, and poster - it sounds like something I'd enjoy. Plus I'm a sucker for holiday horror flicks.

  7. Was just considering this as my next franchise watch. I've only seen the original.

There's this Barnes and Noble with a pretty extensive CD/DVD section, I saw The VVitch in there, didn't buy it, but that was pretty wild. I feel like it's not something you usually see a hard copy of in person unless you're at something like Amoeba that has pretty much everything. There were a couple others like that as well but now I can't remember

Watched Candyman (2021) last night. Thought it was good, it felt like something was missing but I can't really put my finger on what it is. Great performances though

Black Christmas 2019 is something I shut off after ten minutes because I hated the characters immediately.

If you're looking for a new Christmas flick you may not have seen before, I recommend The Children.

I really enjoyed There's Someone Inside Your House. Not perfect, but fun.

  18. Not an accurate title for the movie, in my opinion, but yes the movie was fun.

    1) this is made by Netflix?? Had no idea

    2) my only gripe that I can quickly get over but is humorous to think about is - this takes place in 2022 based on the screen text. Which means it’s been 48 years. And this is supposed to be the original Leatherface so he’s at least pushing idk 65 years old? And yet he can move and hand a chainsaw like that? Impressive as hell. And that’s being super generous because that would be saying he was 17 in the original lmao
