Mad love for The House of the Devil, thoroughly enjoyed The Sacrament and found The Innkeepers to be a slog. Both The Innkeepers and (unrelated to Ti West) I Am The Pretty Thing That Lives Inside The House are both pleasant but so so boring. Both have some cool moments but not enough for me to watch again.

New episode of Slasher was so over the top and ridiculous. Super entertaining lol

  5. Maybe I'll start that tonight. How is this stacking up to past seasons so far? Mostly interested for Cronenberg's involvement tbh, but he was also in Jason X lol

I've enjoyed it more than the last two seasons for sure. They are having more fun with it this time. Definitely some campy moments. Cronenberg gets some decent screen time so far.

I could barely finish The Innkeepers. All I had heard were good things about it, so I gave it a shot and how is that the same director as The House of the Devil and even The Sacrament?

Watched Wishmaster last night. What a fun movie. Some of the effects were top notch.

Not sure why I always thought Clive Barker was involved. lol

Innkeepers is my favorite by Ti West. House of the Devil is awesome too. Haven’t seen the Sacrament yet

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I thought the Innkeepers was so, so boring. he always delivers very likable lead characters though

I’m on team The Inkeepers was a snooze fest, but I really enjoyed House of the Devil and The Sacrament.

2 Episodes into Brand New Cherry Flavor and not really feeling it. Will keep going though cause my s/o is super invested. Did not realize why I recognized Rosa Salazar until I looked her up and saw Alita. That movie is some sort of weird dreamy memory to me and I haven't ever even seen it

My girlfriend and I are starting to make it through out spooky season viewing list. She had never seen Final Destination, and I hadn't seen it since I was a kid. Holy crap, what a hilariously bad, fun movie. The screenplay is unbelievable. We were in stitches almost the whole time, and watching Jack from Dawson's play Mr. Tough Guy was a blast.

We also watched Disturbing Behavior, which was mostly unpleasantly bad. That psych ward scene? Woof. It was fun seeing another Dawson's actress also play the polar opposite, though.

I liked the innkeepers. The sacrament is the one I didn't rly get. That's the one that like a literal play by play of jonestown right? If so I didn't get the point of that one. I'll just go watch a documentary

  17. Freaky was fun. Not as great as HDD1-2 but still a good time. Put Kathryn Newton in everything plz

Has this world stopped asking what it's thinking?

Starting up Fade To Black on Shudder. I've wanted to watch this since seeing the VHS box at the rental place as a kid.

UPDATE: Great concept for a movie, but the finished product is uneven and I found it a little bit of a chore to get through. I knew I recognized the main actor - he is Eddie Kaspbrak in the 1990 IT miniseries.

Just started Open Water for Gourley and Rust and am blown away by how shitty it is visually. That early 2000s digital video is so bad. This actually played in theaters looking like this?

  20. Occasionally my Hulu app on Roku will like zoom in randomly and I genuinely stopped the movie a couple minutes in to check if it was messed up on my end lol kind of unbelievable how poorly it's shot
