I found multiple instances in the film where I’m like “I would do this and then the film is over” but nope, let’s do that and continue to suffer in this man’s house that we shouldn’t have broken into in the first place. I find that the r*pe angle was created to make the blind guy a bad guy, otherwise you don’t feel shit for anyone in the movie.

I've only seen the first two Tremors. The first one is an absolute classic.

  7. Tremors 4 is definitely worse but more fun fwiw, which seems to be the M.O. for Tremors sequels

Critters franchise seems to be the same way

I recently watched The Conjuring 1 and 2, are any of the other film in the Conjuring universe worth it?

Just watched the first episode of the new Slasher season and I think this is the last of this series for me.
Yay for good gore but I don't want to spend another minute with this cast.

It seems like they're incapable of making a season of this show with anyone remotely likable to root for.

I really liked Annabelle: Creation, but outside of that? No.

  11. I also liked Annabelle: Creation

I didn't hate The Nun, but I don't know if I'd recommend it either. Conjuring 3 was really disappointing. Have not seen the other Annabelle movies or Curse of La Llorona since I heard they're all pretty rough.

  12. I've only seen Creation and Conjuring 3 past the first two, but in my limited experience, no. They all just feel like repetitive, watered-down slogs to me at this point. Conjuring 3 was awful. Maybe it's just not my kind of horror, though.

Tbf, the conjuring is my kind of horror, but 3 is fucking abysmal.

grey hairs, get out of me zoots! Prestigious

Don't Breathe 2 was very strange, definitely feels like a movie no one asked for haha. Making him the protagonist also kind of takes away what made the first one scary??? It was more like an action film than horror, but there are a lot more kills and they are a lot more brutal so I guess that is a plus. I don't mind them trying to humanize him if they did it well but I don't think they pulled it quite off

I'm out. Maybe I'll see a clip on youtube or something.
In addition to everyone being unlikable the shaky cam is just too much.

I really enjoy most of Ti West's stuff, is The Sacrament worth checking out?

I really wanted to like The Sacrament, but just could not get into it. Was pretty disappointed because I'm fascinated with the story. The House of the Devil has served as a baseline for Ti West's movies for me since I watched it and not any of his other films seem to come close.

I still need to watch his western, I bought the blu-ray but never got around to it.

Hell yeah, good enough for me, I'll give it a whirl.

I really enjoyed In a Valley of Violence, but can under how people wouldn't like West's pacing in general.
