The Honorary Title was an American alternative indie rock band from Brooklyn, New York, United States.
Loved this band back in the day - have they done anything for a while? Did the members go on to different projects?
Scream & Light Up The Sky is so good. Miss this band. Really wish the album was on Apple Music still. I miss listening to it.
oh man I miss this band on an almost daily basis Jarrod is a family therapist practicing out of California now. so wild. I fondly remember being 16 and dramatic listening to AEBTT laying on my floor crying. I also remember doing it last year too tho so I wish I could have made it to one of those reunion shows several years back
Had an extreme obsession with these guys when I was a lot younger. I still think about Everything I Once Had on Valentine's Day because of the one line. Jarrod did some solo stuff and also had a side project that was a lot of fun, but I forget the name of it.
He had Night Terrors of 1927 with Blake Sennett from Rilo Kiley and that album is excellent. Also got to see them at Lollapalooza one year and they put on a great show. He also had Mourners with Will Noon and they dropped a bunch of singles over a few years but never really went anywhere: mourners
Oh wow I had no idea he was a therapist! Damn, really regretting not going to that reunion show in BK back in 2019.
Went to listen to Scream & Light Up the Sky and it's no longer available on Apple Music. Guess that explains why those songs never comes up on shuffle as much as they used too. I can only play Stay Away, Untouched and Intact, and Along the Way now. Weird cause I know I had the full album on my iPod back in the day. Anyone know where to get these songs? Only credible option I've found so far is Amazon, and would rather not use that.
I've been looking to no avail on my usual routes. Was able to stream on amazon music for free. It's for purchase on there too.
