I think United Blood is making an announcement tomorrow. I really hope Fury plays. I've missed them the few times they've come through here.
I check different subgenres on bandcamp almost daily for new stuff and one day it came up under metal (hardcore) I think. Why? Been listening to mosh madness too, I’ve gotta revisit that last bitter end album (illusions) because I listened to them non-stop from like 09 to 12, kinda forgot about them, and checked out illusions like once but never returned. It got some pretty high praise on the podcast.
Don’t really know who I absolutely WANT to play S&F aside from Fiddlehead but I’ll probably go regardless of the lineup.
Local guys and one of them is a loose friend and would probably be shocked to find out someone from outside our town had heard it /posted it, that’s all!
I never listened to the last Bitter End record cuz I thought Guilty as Charged was meh, but I’ll give it a listen. Also the Judiciary is 100% heaters, damn
Getting back into the latest Harms Way record. I think I’m gonna see them on their tour with Knocked Loose.
I love everything else Verse has ever done but I never gave this one a fair shot. Needa get on that. Speaking of Verse/Sean Murhpey, anyone know what his new band Death of a Nation is up to? Their debut EP was killer
Nice! A woman in a hardcore band playing guitar! Makes me think of Figure Four!!! Look at young Andrew there!
Pure Noise also gave YOTK the seeyouspacecowboy treatment and put the new song and their last two EPs on a new comp that's out digitally and up for a physical pre-order now. Year Of The Knife I'm still baffled they've gone from the No Good News debacle to doing stuff like this. Good on them.
This stuff makes me want to give Pure Noise the time of day again, which I thought would never happen. Someone give me some recommended records from January or February of this year to check out because I need to get back 'into' the whole hardcore side of things.
see above for Year of the Knife. New SeeYouSpaceCowboy comp (two new songs + single/ep/split tracks from them: New Judiciary: The new Nudie Mag demo isn't hardcore, but it's on a hardcore label and has Colin from Twitching Tongues in it: New One Step Closer: New Ithaca:
Also, no shade towards YOTK. I really dig everything I've heard from them, but I can't help but think of Hatebreed's Puritan every time I hear Blue Lies. Anyone else?
