The Armed's Only Love is still my favorite hardcore record of the year, and at least in my top 5 across all genres for the year.

It all depends upon the style. 53 minutes of Krimewatch is very different than 53 minutes of Rolo Tomassi.

 

Yeah of course. Rolo Tomassi obviously suit long albums, it's just for me I'm rarely listening to music for 50 minutes at a time

Speaking of female-fronted hardcore bands, Torso from Oakland rules. Their album from last year, Sono Pronta a Morire still gets regular spins from me.

 

Cover art is an interesting choice but this shit bangs, kinda reminds me of Bane musically

Finally got the chance to see them live this past weekend and they ripped.

I got out of a long-term relationship about 6 months ago and I've just been trying to stay busy. It's crazy how many bands come through town that I'm willing to go see.

Just copped some tickets for Down to Nothing's holiday show in Richmond (with King Nine) and the second night of Integrity's Baltimore weekend in January (with Full of Hell and Candy). It's gonna be a good couple months of live hardcore for me.

 

That King Nine record is gonna be so good. Them and Mindforce a week after Cult Leader. Drooool
