Suicide Silence, Youth Code, Rob Zombie Members Launch New Band, Stream Debut Track + the ex-bassist of Marilyn Manson's touring band. This is surprisingly good if just a bit of a tease due to its brevity.
For real though a fear of having my teeth fucked up or my eyes fucked up in a mosh pit was the number one concern.
Actually had a tooth cracked at a hardcore show and had to have it removed, was when I gave up moshing completely lol.
Yeah moshing is a young mans game. Too old for that shit. Last time I moshed I hurt my neck. Damn you Wild-Side!!!
Any other Aussies on here? If so, and if you haven't already, check out Bone Church - good 'darkened hardcore', whatever that means; reminds me of a cross between Trap Them and Cult Leader. Bone Church, by Bone Church Also worth a shout out is Burn In Hell. Some of the dudes used to be in the melodic hardcore band Vices (not really my bag but people down under loved 'em), and their new band is brutal death metal-infused stuff. If you like Nails or Xibalba you should give this a shot. HUMANITY PLAGUE, by BURN IN HELL
My intial suspicions were correct. The show was one of the best hardcore shows I've been to in a while. GB and MLIW killed it. On a new music note, both the new Gouge Away and Candy records are bangers and likely top 25 album of the year candidates for me.
I've got that plus Trapped Under Ice/Queensway/Diztort on my radar before I move out of Chicago...TUI is a sure thing. Terror et al. is likely (plus we also get Enforced opening), but it's just a matter of timing with moving stuff. Ugh. I really want to make it out for it though.
Candy deserve all the hype they are getting, this is one of the best debut albums in hardcore in a good while. W.A.R and Cross My Heart were great too, but didn't pack the same punch.
Y'all ever watch shows you were at and look for yourself in the crowd? Right where the video should play Brendan from Turnstile has got me in a headlock kinda thing, I got a long sleeve pink shirt on
