I saw them live with The Saddest Landscape a couple of years ago and had never heard of them. Their set was incredible. They'd be way bigger if they were either american or british. EDIT: Also lol @Bracewar for releasing a three track 7" after a billion years and calling it "Colossal"
I'm going to go and listen to some Heaven Shall Burn now that you have mentioned German indie metal/hardcore!
I need to spend more time with their discography. I've heard most of their records, but only a couple times. Never really dug into them as much as I should.
If you take out the intro and outro the 7" is only 3 minutes long haha. Still slaps tho. Been jammin this shit, FFO: Lockin' Out *EDIT - I'm sorry, can someone teach me how to embed bandcamp shit much cleaner?
Ahh..well I feel smart now. Was fucking around with the embed code for way too long and never tried that. Thanks!
Longshot but does anyone know if the Soul Search LP is ever gonna come out? Also, what happened to Back to Back Records?
Anyone know if Knocked Loose is recording anything? I believe Laugh Track came out in 2016. (and I still occasionally jam to it)
I like Laugh Tracks a lot. It's timing was great in that there was no other band I was listening to like them at the time. I'd like to think maybe they're trying to take their time to produce something with a bit more flare and diversity. The band has also been touring nonstop.
Hopefully it’s not just overproduced breakdown city because I think they are capable of something pretty cool if they explored some of the DM influences
I mean, I feel like that's the gripe everyone who took notice to them outside of their respective scene had. But it worked well for them. It works well for their vocalist who is a major draw. Sure, LT is breakdown heavy but I think the production was pretty good for a beatdown hardcore record, something this band has been and embraced since their early songs. They actually had quite a bit of metal influence and lead parts on the album compared to their EP's and many other bands that are similar.
The singer was on a podcast earlier this year. I wanna say Lead Singer Syndrome? Anyways he mentioned they're taking their time writing a new one but he mentioned influences like Botch and Dead Guy which I thought was cool.
That makes me excited! I agree with everyone that I don't think they have reached what they fully are capable of doing yet. LT while breakdown heavy, had some unique parts and overall was just an extremely fun listen. Production and vocalist are definitely what sets them apart for me. The bass was actually not lost in the mixing and while vocals were up in front, every instrument could still be heard easily and each had their own chance on the album to take center stage.
